The process of energy production

1.

Solar panels absorb sunlight. These panels contain photovoltaic cells that convert this light into direct current (DC).

2.

The direct current produced by the panel is sent to an inverter, which converts it into alternating current (AC).

3.

Before the energy is sent to the grid, it passes through transformers where it is raised to a higher voltage level.

4.

After the transformers, the energy is transmitted to the power grid via power lines.
